Early Years
1975
- Mr. Chua Chin Nam establishes PH Hydraulics & Engineering Pte. Ltd.
- Started the company with a vision to provide solutions to the industrial sector.
- PH wins an order to design and build a 400-ton Ferry Drawbridge for Penang Port and retrofitted a ballast system for Esso Orient Tanker

Expansion Years
1980s
PH moved to a new premise in the Tuas Industrial area to expand its business and identifies the oil and gas sector as an area to expand into.

PH designed, built and tested its first 400-ton Linear winch for McDermott.

PH designed, built and tested 200-ton Linear Winch and 400-ton Linear Winch for CNOOC.
1995
2002
PH first participation in the SURF market by participating in a pipe handling conversion for McDermott’s Derrick Barge (DB27).

PH delivered its first Pipe Handling Equipment to Leighton Contractors. 30-ton Hydraulic Tensioner with Pipe Handling Rollers.

PH delivered more than 20 units of Pipe Handling Equipment globally.

PH entered the FPSO Market with a 145-ton Turret Winch for Prosafe.

PH delivered 600-ton Winch for Ningaloo Vision.

PH delivered a 420-ton Riser-Pull in System for Modec.

PH delivered a one of its kind projects for Resorts World Singapore. PH built and designed the cane dance structure and hydraulic system.

PH entered the drilling market by delivering a Conductor Tensioning Platform for Noble’s Regina Allen jack-up rig.

PH delivered 8 units of 550-ton Riser Pull in System for Petrobras, Keppel and Jurong Shipyard.

PH moved into a waterfront facility at 23 Tuas Road.
