FPSO: Turret Mooring System

Turret Mooring System consists of a vertical and horizontal bearing system which allows the free weathervaning vessel to rotate around the turret. By using this method, the FPSO can moor itself to the direction of the waves, current and wind to reduce resistance. At the bottom of the turret system, anchors are lowered into the sea bed to secure the FPSO’s mooring position.
